The mathematical branch of linear algebra is mainly concerned with vector spaces and linear mappings between such spaces. This includes on one hand the study of lines, planes and subspaces, on the other hand linear algebra is concerned with properties common to all vector spaces. Online courses allow you to learn at your own pace, wherever and whenever you please. Students who cannot attend the lecture due to work, illness or family matters can make up some leeway at home by streaming the videos.
